About These Themes
This page contains 4 Shopping Cart Themes available for free download to registered ShutterBug users.
The templates in each theme are designed with a specific purpose in mind. Each template is intended
for a particular type of page content and are labeled to reflect the type of page, that the template
should be applied to. Some of them also make heavy use of "Xtra" boxes.
For example, a template entitled "Main Category Page" is intended for use with a Group page, that
displays multiple categories of product offerings. A template entitled "Product Line Sub Page" is
intended for use with the individual album pages that are contained within the Group page. A "Contact
Page" template is intended for use with a simple page that contains mostly text, and so on. The
"Product By It Page" template is the one that contains the shopping cart feature for connecting your
customers to the PayPal gateway.
Applying certain templates to pages that are not well-suited to the template's intended use, may yield
undesirable "aesthetic" results or will at least require adjustments to the template in Layout mode. You
can view the sample tour sites for each theme (included below) to get a quick snapshot of how each
theme is being used for a particular set-up. And remember, not all templates in a theme have to be
used, and all are completely customizable to suit your individual, unique needs!
Sample Shopping Cart Sites (Theme Tours): not every page of each tour site is complete with full
content. Selecting the top menu items will take you to the pages containing the full content of each
template. Selecting the first "product" thumbnail on a page (it will usually have linked text saying
"Learn More" under the photo caption) will lead you through to the next template and onto the
purchase page layout.
Additionally, the Buy/Shopping Cart buttons are intentionally not connected to a PayPal account -
therefore when you click them, you will receive an error message. Of course, when you use these
themes yourself, the Buy/Shopping Cart buttons will be connected to the PayPal account that you
choose to use with your shopping cart.

The Shopping Cart themes have been tested for compliance and work with the following browsers:
• Mac OS X: Safari & FireFox
• Windows: Internet Explorer, Safari & FireFox
• Google Chrome Beta: these themes have not been tested with Google Chrome. They should work,
but it is possible that they may not.
This theme starts out with a categorized product
display as the home page. It progresses from a Group
page of product categories, to the separate “Album”
pages containing the particular product line of
individual products. Customers can then click the
product they are interested in, to go to the full
description, more views, and to purchase the product
from your store.
This theme makes heavy use of Xtra boxes. Make sure
you read the Read Me notes that are included in the
download link.

This theme is focused on selling prints and artwork.
The purchase page allows you to display 4 thumbnails
to show four different dimensions that the same print
is available in, and how much each size is selling for.
You just need to add the same photo four times to the
album window in Content Mode and the template will
do the rest.
The main content is mostly photo/image content,
drawing from the thumbnail albums created in Content
Mode. Textual information is best used with templates
like the "About" page, and perhaps including a brief
introduction on the home page. Be sure to read the
brief Read Me notes that are included in the download
link.

This theme is available in two different flavors -
advanced and simple. The advanced version is displayed
here first, and the simple version follows below. The
advanced version contains several Xtra text boxes for
displaying information such as "New Products" and
"Top Sellers" or any other information you want to
emphasize to your customers.
The product pages align text content alongside each
thumbnail, evenly spaced out. To achieve this same
layout for the text descriptions, you will have to
manually space out each paragraph in Content mode
so that it aligns properly with the corresponding
thumbnail.
If this is more time consuming than you have time for,
you can always just change the thumbnail display to a
standard thumbnail album and include product
descriptions in the caption text instead. Be sure to read
the Read Me notes that are included in the download
link.
This is a very light-weight and simple theme, but still
does the job just fine! This one is basically the same
layout as the one above, minus the Xtras and the
tabbed horizontal menu is removed. As in the theme
above, you will have to space out your text descriptions
manually in Content Mode. Other than that, there
aren't very many adjustments to be made, besides
building your content.
